2011–2018
Career at Modern Drummer
Miguel began contributing to Modern Drummer in October 2011 as a freelance writer, covering artists, drum education, and equipment for its print and digital editions.
In April 2015, he became Director of Business & Content Development for Modern Drummer. He continued writing, interviewing, filming, and photographing for the magazine through December 2018.
Website & Digital Editions
Miguel managed the development of the magazine’s redesigned website and integrated apps, which provided access to its digital editions and archive.
2018 Folio Recognition
The app and digital edition he helped develop received an honorable mention in Overall App/Digital Edition at the 2018 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards.
